This is a variation of the guest posting I wrote for Lara here.
If you meet me in real life (you should've taken the blue pill), you might not guess it, but I am a bit eccentric. I have learned, after many an embarrassing situation, to "blend in"- to move around you unseen, listening to your non-geeky conversations, watching your non-geeky outings. I am not easily pigeon-holed into just being a "geek"- oh, no! I have many shades of geekness. Observe:
The types of geek I am, and have been, are:
- Star Wars geek
As a young teen, I stood in line to see "Empire" and "Jedi." As an adult, I took off from work to see the first showings of the rereleases in '98 and '99. I met David Prowse, bitches! - Mac Computer geek
From the release of the 256k Macintosh in 1984 to current day- you can take my Mac when you pry it from my cold, dead hands! - Movie and TV geek
Wednesday and Friday nights are for pussies- Tuesday and Thursday night midnight pre-releases are for professionals! - PHP coder geek
I go to coding conventions. Nuff said? - Food geek
The Food Network is porn. - History geek
Ancient Mysteries of the Bible was, like, the best series EVER! - Gamer geek
I've played a few games of AD&D and have been known to wield a wicked tinder box, not to mention four years of hanging around Goths playing Vampire. - oh, and Downtown Frederick geek
I do love to push the great town I live in!
BTW- if you think you're not a geek, remind yourself that you're reading a blog on a computer... GEEK! ;)
"So long and thanks for all of the fish!" - the dolphins

So…if the Food Network is porn, does that make Alton Brown the equivalent of Ron Jeremy?
nope- Randy Spears
Love your web page/blog! Too Funny. But I am unsure about the apple products. Maybe my kids don’t know how to use them correctly but they seem to have an aweful lot of trouble with their new iPods. But I do like the electronic reader and intend to invest in one within the next year. Just waiting to see what else comes out within the next year.
